Throughout the month of June, our youth programming staff and five alumni youth leaders got everything ready for the Freedom Fellowship. They worked HARD all month--selecting the Freedom Fellows, finishing up the curriculum design and making sure all of the operations details were figured out.

July brought the Summer Leadership Institute! Twenty-four Freedom Fellows gathered Monday through Friday for four weeks, where they studied movement history, community organizing strategies, and systems of power and oppression.

We welcomed two new members to our board of directors over the summer. Welcome Arthur Surratt and David Chavez!
