We equip individuals and organizations with tools and strategies to dismantle oppression in all forms.

We provide training to groups and institutions interested in anti-oppression practices and movement building.

*Our trainings are best for people ages 14 and older. All sessions are led by experienced staff facilitators and often co-facilitated by young people.

Training options

Please note: We are currently only offering Understanding Adultism workshops at this time. We plan to bring back our other workshops in January 2024.

  • Adultism is the oppression of younger people from older people usually based on the assumption that adults deserve more rights than youth and are entitled to act upon young people without their consent. This workshop builds an understanding of adultism and how it manifests in society. Participants will work together to develop strategies that address adultism and explore practices for intergenerational allyship.

  • Identity, Power & Oppression engages participants to deepen their understanding of how identity and power dynamics affect how we move about in the world. Participants will unpack positionality and privilege and explore anti-racist and anti-oppression strategies.

  • Practicing Accompliceship builds off of Identity, Power & Oppression to develop a deeper understanding of the differences between being an ally and and accomplice. It provides a space for participants to reflect and strategize how these concepts apply in their own lives individually and collectively.

  • This workshop enables participants to build a foundational understanding of the history, principles and values of popular education. The workshop explore the practices and work of popular education and draw connections to how it promotes and centers liberatory work. Participants will learn foundational strategies to facilitate popular education.

  • This workshop explores ways that trauma can show up within classrooms and youth spaces. It supports educators and youth workers in building frameworks and tools to create healing-centered, trauma-informed spaces that support the well-being of young people.

  • This workshop focuses on issues in youth development work related to boundaries, consent and transparency.

Participant Testimonial

History of policing for youth

We are partnering with Freedom Lifted to share this FREE online course. Designed for young people, it is an introduction to the history of policing in the United States and building police-free futures. Taught by a youth activist, it is based on the live History of Policing class hosted in summer 2020.
