SPECIAL THANKS
The establishment of the Chicago Freedom School would not have been possible without a generous legacy grant from the Girl’s Best Friend Foundation. Our ongoing work to strengthen the field of youth-led social change is supported with a five-year grant from the Cricket Island Foundation (2009 – 2013).
The Chicago Freedom School is proud to partner with the Ellen Stone Belic Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media, Columbia College Chicago for support of our youth-led partnership with the Kigali Freedom School in Kigali, Rwanda. We are also happy to partner with WBEZ’s Vocalo.org to promote the work of the Freedom Fellows.
CFS is also extremely grateful to the many individuals who have pledged their support through personal donations and in-kind gifts.
