Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome and appreciate any interest in volunteering with the Chicago Freedom School. We are excited to work with a growing constituency concerned about the activism of youth in Chicago community.  We can always use help to move forward, and we especially need the support of people who are willing to take up the behind-the-scenes work.   Please let us know if you can do:

RESEARCH and EVALUATION to help us evaluate our work and learn more about the impact of youth-led social change around the world;

DATA ENTRY to help keep track of all of the amazing people who come through our doors and who support our work;

LIBRARY MAINTENANCE to help us maintain, update and build our library;

GRAPHIC DESIGN to create event flyers and outreach materials.

We ask that volunteers make a commitment of at least six months to work at CFS and attend a 3-hour volunteer orientation.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please complete a Volunteer Application:

After we receive your application, we will contact you about volunteer opportunities as they arise and the next date for orientation.  You may send your application form to:
